MORGAN PARK — A 34-year-old man was killed after his car caught fire following a collision with a tree Sunday in Morgan Park, according to police. Around 12:50 a.m. Sunday, the man was driving a black electrical car in the 11300 block of South Western Avenue when he lost control and crashed into a tree near Kennedy Park, police said. The car immediately caught fire and the man was unable to exit the car, police said. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and found the man unresponsive in the driver s seat. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He was the only person in the car at the time of the crash.
